Kansas City Royals Baseball Game

Last week, Rich got free tickets at work for a baseball game. We were all set to go until we started talking about it the night before. Turns out that netiher of us were very interested in going to the game, we were both just doing it because we thought the other person wanted to. Since we already had a dog sitter lined up for the day, thanks Joee :), we didn't want to pass up the opportunity to get out of the house and go to Kansas City. We settled on checking out The Plaza, a 15 block shopping district. The weather was beautiful and sunny. We couldn't have asked for a better Fall day.

After shopping for a while we had lunch at Brio on a second floor outdoor balcony.

Although we went into a lot of stores, we didn't buy much. There was even a store dedicated to Christmas that I just had to post for my mother, even though we didn't actually go in it.

Then we took a walk along the creek where you could take Venetian style Gondola rides. Unfortunately, they weren't open while we were there.

Another neat stop was at the fountain where they had turned the water pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

While we were at The Plaza, we ran into Three Dog Bakery and got Edgar a treat. It was a Boston Terrier Cream Pie, of course. Here he is enjoying it. Macy even tried it out, but wasn't that impressed.

It was a fun trip and a great way to sepnd some time together!

  1. Looks to have been a fanastic day, I am glad you went on your outting and much more fun than a baseball game. The shopping looks fab (that isn't were we went, is it?), we will have to do that next summer, Edgar looks so cute with his treat. I really like to picture of you and Rich in front of the fountain. Love you both. Mom
