Old Man Winter

I here he's a comin'. I don't know what all of the current hoopla is about in your neck of the woods, but around here it's all about the snow. Supposedly we are expecting a whopping 7 inches over the course of 2 days! I know, I know. This pales in comparison to what the East coast has been through this winter, but we haven't had one spec of accumulation yet this season, so this will be our first big slice of winter pie.

So in order to celebrate and measure this event, Barbie is throwing a beach party. Yes, a beach party. I told her that she needed to dress for the weather, but she insisted.

I will be taking pictures of her every 3 to 6 hours, provided that I am awake, in this very position, with a time and date stamp on each photo. I am crossing my fingers that when all is said and done, Barbie's head will be the only thing left visible. She measures roughly 12 inches, and I have provided a ruler to help us gauge the snow fall.

She has been staked in the middle of the yard, in an effort to avoid false accumulation due to snow drifts.

My neighbors probably think I'm crazy. Heck, you probably think I'm crazy! No, I'm just trying to kill time during my last week of break. I hope you get some enjoyment out of this.

Stay tuned......
Keep up with Snow Barbie here

  4. Ok, so where did you dig up the Barbie!?!?! She needs some sand and a blanket, maybe even a palm tree. It will be much more interesting than than using one of the snow sticks you see in the catalogs!!But it might turn out like when your Aunt & Uncle use to light candles in my honor so it would not snow. I just knew you would get bored before it wast time to go back to school. Have fun with it. Love you, Mom
