This weekend was gorgeous! So the hubster and I spent some of it at Konza Prairie. I wanted to try out my new birthday lens (55-200mm) and soak up the sunshine. We enjoyed a 6 mile hike through the prairie.
Right away, we saw a few deer enjoying an early dinner.
"Get a picture of me pointing to the deer..."
There was some contemplation...
And then another deer!
A tranquil creek,

And I don't know what to call that...
The prairie was beautiful in the late afternoon sun.

Just past the hills, you can see Manhattan.

Beautiful hills lined with limestone
And we ended are hike with a whole lotta malarkey. Sometimes you just have an "itch"
We finished up just before the daylight was gone.
Your grandmother would be soooo jealous, deer and wild turkeys all in one day. As usual the photos are stunning!!!
